Therapy Effects of Ozonized Oil (Oleozon) in the Treatment of
Giardiasis
F. Piñol, N. Cedeño, W. Díaz.
Giardia lamblia is a cosmopolite protozoan that, nowadays, creates
serious problems of health because of the amount of symptoms that
accompany its infection. Fifty patients from 17 to 55 years old
suffering of giardiasis were studied. The diagnosis was confirmed
by duodenal gavage or stool. The patients received daily 2
capsules of OLEOZON of 1 mL each (one in the morning and one in
the night) during 10 days. Afterwards, stop treatment for 1 week
and repeat the cycle the same as the first one. As healing
criterion, the absence of cysts or trophozoites of Giardia
lamblia, in a sample of duodenal superficial tissue under
endoscopic sight, was considered. The results demonstrated that
there was 67 % of parasitologic healing and 85 % of improvement in
the inflammatory process that accompanies this disease (gastritis,
duodenitis).
